New Beginning Ministry Recovery Pennsylvania

New Beginning Ministry Recovery Pennsylvania is located in Beach Lake. In the small town of Beach Lake in Wayne County Pennsylvania a dream was born in 1997. Near a small lake on 6.5 acres, four people started an addiction recovery ministry that was nurturing, serene, spiritual, warm, and felt like home. Since that time thousands have come through the front door of the miracle in the Poconos, New Beginning Ministry, and had their lives changed and saved from the grips of addiction.

New Beginning Ministry Recovery Pennsylvania – Not A Hospital, Then What Is?

No, New Beginning Ministry Recovery Pennsylvania is not a hospital, no medical doctors, or nurses, they do it the old-fashion way. Modeled after the Ministry of the High Watch that was started by AA’s co-founder Bill Wilson, it’s a wholesome, structured, safe environment for twelve-step recovery. Following in the traditions of what has worked for decades, New Beginning’s simple daily routine teaches accountability and responsibility, in a family atmosphere where substance abusers find a purpose and a place. Their program believes in healing the body, mind, and spirit.

New Beginning Ministry Recovery Pennsylvania Functions as a prominent recovering family, everyone helps out with the day to day activities, chairing meetings, chores, fellowship, and being their brother’s and sister’s keepers. One addict or alcoholic is helping another; that’s what has always worked in healing addiction. You can comfort where you’ve been comforted. It’s amazing to witness the spirit of unity, recovery, and love that is New Beginning Ministry.

It has seen some hard times, and some plentiful times; however, the ministry always seems to pull through. Many grassroots organizations have closed in the last few years because of the economy and fewer donations. New Beginning is a 501-(c)3 nonprofit ministry and does count on donations to continue to thrive.

New Beginning Ministry Recovery Pennsylvania – Staff as Volunteers

When times became difficult in the past five years, some of the staff agreed to stay on full time as volunteers to help the ministry stay afloat. Thanks to their service, the ministry has been able to help many who could not afford to get help elsewhere by gifting scholarships to countless individuals. Special people helping special people, some of the guests ended up joining the team of volunteers.

New Beginning is one of the last of its kind. A real grassroots, faith-based, twelve-step recovery community that knows what the problem, the solution, and the program of action are to overcome addiction. Saving lives for over 19 years; the miracle in the Poconos!
